Midstate Hardware is an independent, locally owned business with a broad cross-section of customers, including wholesale, tradies, D.I.Y. customers, and other businesses.

We’ve been around since 1994, and we now have branches in Port Pirie and Gladstone, South Australia, servicing the upper Gulf St Vincent and the Southern Flinders Ranges.

Both branches are members of the Hardware and Building Traders (HBT) buying group and offer free delivery covering 100 km from the store. The HBT group has a membership of over 600 stores across Australia and over 250 suppliers. The Port Pirie store is also a Mitre 10 franchise and stocks a full range of building materials and is THE destination for all the region’s tradies.

We offer free delivery throughout the Southern Flinders and also supply to other hardware businesses.

Our trade team will tailor a unique quote just to help you win your job. We offer free structural engineering and certification for the timber we supply. Whether you’re removing a load bearing wall or building an extension, we’ll work with you to make sure the beams you use are the right size and spec. We’ll even help you with information related to the national construction code.
